Senior journalist T K Rajalakshmi was elected the new president of the Indian Women’s Press Corps (IWPC) on April 18, 2018.
- An election was held on April 14 on this regard.
Jyoti Malhotra and Shobhna Jain were declared vice-presidents of the media body.
Shalini Bhardwaj was elected joint secretary and Preeti Mehra, its treasurer.
Indian Women’s Press Corps (IWPC) is a reputed association of women journalists. It was launched in 1994. It was set up to support women journalist in their professional work, in enhancing their knowledge and skills and to provide a forum for networking. It was centrally located in New Delhi.
Every year IWPC members elect a 21-member Managing Committee and six office bearers
The 21-member managing committee consists of Mrinal Pande, Suhasini Haidar, Coomi Kapoor, Manjari Chatrurvedi, Huma Siddiqui, Maya Mirchandani, Annapurna Jha, Tripti Nath, Sarvesh, Aditi Kapoor, Parul Sharma, Amiti Sen, Renu Agal, Vijaya Laxmi, Bishakha De Sarkar, Madhvi Sally, Aditi Bhal, Kadambini Sharma, Aditi Nigam, Anju Grover and Saroj Dhuliya.
