The fifth edition of the tournament, to be played in ODI format, will be hosted by Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) in the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan in January 2018.

Blind cricket is a version of the sport of cricket adapted for blind and partially sighted players. It has been governed by the World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) since 1996.

The last World Cup was played in 2014 which was won by India defeating Pakistan.
