RBI formed deputy governor SS Mundra headed task force to recalibrate the ATMs across India

In a press release dated 14th November 2016 Reserve Bank of India said that it constituted a eight-member task force headed by deputy governor SS Mundra to re-calibrate all ATMs functioning in India  for enabling dispensation of Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series Banknotes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 which are smaller in size than old 1000 and 500 currency notes.

 This taskforce will provide direction and guidance to agencies handling the re-caliberation process.
